I'm going to go ahead and tell you that this will probably be all over the place. I don't know what I want to write about, and honestly, I haven't been able to formulate words for my current thoughts. So, here's an attempt. Be nice.
I guess I'll begin with CSPA developments. We had an interesting professional development meeting the other day. It was all about Myers-Briggs. If you know me and my psychology side, then you know that I don't put as much stock into that test as the majority of people do. I think it's quite relevant and reliable and all that jazz, but come one, everyone is so much more than the four letters they are assigned (or assign themselves) from this test. I think the letters I got are quite correct, but I still believe I am much more than that. I'm an I with E tendencies sometimes. An S who will pull out an N side. An F who can T just as well as anyone. And a P who can J your ass into the ground some days.
That being said, according to the MBTI I am an ISFP. For those of you who don't understand, let me break it down...briefly.
I -- Stands for Introversion. Tend to think before speaking. Reflective. Conserve energy.
S -- Stands for Sensing. Rely on experiences. Realistic/concrete. Prefer using learned skills. Practical.
F -- Stands for Feeling. People first/task second. Humane vs. just. Treats others uniquely vs. fairly. Warm-hearted. Harmony vs. clarity. Personal values and needs.
P -- Stands for Perceiving. Openness. Spontaneous. Tolerant. "Go with the flow". Curious. Postpones making decisions.
A broad definition of what these letters mean together:
"Sees much but shares little". Warm and sensitive, unassuming, short range planner, good team member, in touch with self and nature. Most artistic (side note: I'm loosely interpreting that one for my life to mean writing and photography?). ISFPs represent 6% of the American Population. Warmth and concern are generally not expressed openly, and what people often first encounter is their quiet adaptability, realism, and "free spirit" spontaneity. Cool and impassive bur really have deep and passionate feelings that they share only with people they know well and trust. Loyal, devoted, patient friends. Seek harmony and tension free environments. Taken advantage of. Unwilling to risk hurting feelings of others by confronting conflict. Need to be more assertive about expressing feelings so they don't neglect their own needs.
Possible Jobs for ISFPs:
Chef, dancer, visiting nurse, LPN, medical assistant, child welfare counselor, alcohol and drug addiction counselor, crisis hotline operator, social worker.
Okay, so, believe it or not, that was definitely a brief synopsis of the information we were given and the information that is out there on the topic. And, like I said, I really think all of these fit into who I really am, but I'm also not denying the validity of the other letters in my life. My favorite phrase regarding this is that I don't define my life by my letters.
In regard to the rest of my program, I'm the only one who has this combination of letters. Surprise. Also, I'm the only one who has the temperament style of SP. Apparently my catch phrase for that style is "Just do it", but since I'm an introvert I tend to just say that in my head. My 'dirty little secret' apparently, is that I like to start fires just to start them..... Okay, maybe.
Anyway, off that subject. If you have questions or comments or whatever, hit me up.
Next...counselors and counseling. I think they're asses! I think I've written about this before, but I don't want to look back and see. Anyway, I'm in counseling through Varner House here on campus. I went voluntarily and I'm glad that I made that step. What sucks, though, is that my freaking counselor figured me out way to quickly for my liking. He told me at the end of the session before last that there are three things he keeps hearing and wants to talk about...all three things were ridiculously correct and issues I try and keep hidden. Again, ass! But, I told him I'm glad he did figure it out; I really do want to talk about it and start dealing.
Halloween. I have a costume. I'm going to be Jo Calderone. Gaga's alter-ego. Should be easy. Should be fun. I also went to a few halloween themed places the past couple of weeks. Let's just sum it all up by saying I lost my voice the first time due to excessively annoying screaming, I haven't laughed that much in a long time, and my friends Alyson, Rebecca, and Taylor are hilarious when faced with slightly scary situations. (Love you all, since I think you all read this...).
Anyway, now that I have sufficiently not researched anything for my paper, I'll post this blog's playlist. It's one of a longer nature, seeing as the blog is as well. Enjoy.

You know what's weird? I took one of those personality tests online a few days ago and found my type but I've already forgotten it. Started with an E. I had done all of it before but I forgot it then, too.
As far as your listed music: I'll have to listen to them all soon. I saw Neutral Milk Hotel on there and I felt they were worth mentioning in my comment. (I LOVE their song Oh, Comely. King of Carrot Flowers (forgot which part) is good, too. :3)
