We live in America. We have decided to set up a system of judgment where everyone is (supposedly) innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of their peers. That's how we do. So, if you go to court, the decision made by the jury is the one that fits the crime and is what the popular decision would be if America were polled. Or, that is how it would work out in a perfect world. ((We're nowhere close to that, by the way.))
Anyway, this whole "Tot Mom" craze is finally over (wait, what? oh, it's not over....still?) but people still complain. This is how America is. The decision was made, you don't agree, you can't do anything about it...leave it.
My main issue is with the way the entire thing was approached. Honestly, I didn't follow it enough to form an opinion on whether she was guilty or not, doesn't matter, she was decidedly innocent. What I do know is that whenever anyone is asked a question (be it big, small, in a court of law, on the street, etc.), the answer that is given first and foremost should be the truth. Why start a story, change it, change it again, go back to the original, and then change back to something else? Start with the truth, man up to your choices, and take the consequences as they come. Is this a hypocritical statement on my part? Yeah, sort of. I will start off with a lie here and there, but honestly, I try to live my life as honestly as I can. But for real, if I was arrested for something, you better believe I'd tell the truth from the start...I mean, damn, why risk it?

Here's a hard fact though: I have tomorrow (well, technically today) to work, I have next week off for the beach, then I come back and have ten work days left before I'm done. Hells yes!
